I have a unique and fulfilling role as the grade level Learning Support teacher. This is my seventh year on the team. Part of my job is to teach students to plan with the end in mind. Dennis RespeckiUntitled Art

I first started teaching art at the Center for Arts and Media, North Ft. Myers High School. I introduced the new arts magnet program along with the first AP curriculum and several other art courses (art history, sculpture, and advanced drawing) for the school.  I was also a head and assistant coach for cross country, basketball, and track/field.  Later, I was brought to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where I started the first Middle Years and Diploma Programs for visual arts at Advanced Learning Schools.  During this time, I was also a part of the reauthorization process for the Primary and Middle Years Programmes.  My career has now taken me further East, as I am the current grade 5 and 6 art teacher here at Manila.  I pride myself on building young students with the knowledge and fundamentals to become great young artists. All students have the potential and I am motivated to see them appreciate and enjoy the arts!
I received my education from a variety of institutions…I have an Associate of Arts (Mott, MI), Bachelors of Art (Grand Valley State, MI), and in the process of receiving my Masters from Nova Southeastern (Florida).  I am knowledgeable and certified to teach Advanced Placement and all levels of the International Baccalaureate Program.
In my time outside of the classroom, I enjoy the outdoors.  I am a former high school and collegiate runner.  For the past eight years I have been regularly competing in triathlons.  I am a four time Ironman, and have completed many races under that distance…and yes, this is all for fun!
